Type 8

Expression and Dynamics

Posters, which are close to Type 8 in spirit, are based on a dense, disordered arrangement of elements, which creates a sense of pressure, energy and indomitability. The elements look careless – this is achieved through torn edges, wrinkles, scuffs, smudges, sharp strokes, uneven, bold lines and deformed shapes. If there is a man in the poster, his gaze expresses absolute confidence, pressure and even fury. The poses are provocative and sprawling.

Selected posters are a reflection of the straightforward and punchy character of type 8. This type is not inclined to hold back thoughts and feelings – he expresses them openly and without trying to smooth the edges. That is why rough and careless forms are perceived as an expression of naturalness and sincerity. Type 8 is always wary and tends to expect a threat from the outside, so he is defensive and often attacks first. He also does not tolerate weakness and achieves his goals through assertiveness and endurance. Therefore, posters with pronounced tension, sharpness and dynamics translate his habitual and comfortable inner state.
